Space Fluid bottles are works of art as much as their contents. Here are some tips to keep them looking and serving like new.
Refilling bottles, replacing necks
Painted bottles can be refilled at home or in a perfume store if you don't want to send them back to me.
Just order the perfume in a basic black bottle and add Home Refill in the notes. I will then send you the perfume in a pharmacy screw-top 50 ml bottle with a spray, funnel and self-crimping tool so you can open your painted bottle, refill and close it yourself.
When shipping perfumes by plane, the pressure difference in the plane can also cause the seal at the neck to loosen and the perfume to leak. While I hope this never happens, I know this threat from discussions with artisan perfumers. Similarly, if your perfume falls on the floor and the neck of the sprayer bends or stops working for any reason, the problem can be quickly and easily solved by replacing the sprayer.
Using Parafilm sealing is not necessary, is is just an extra protection. If you don´t own a self crimping tool, get one here or here or let me know and I can mail it to you.
Cap
A lost or scratched cap can be replaced and its size can be precisely adjusted. I always send already adjusted caps, and this guide is for cases where the refill bottle you’ve refilled might need the cap size adjusted.
Scratches and wear
With frequent use and carrying in a handbag, scratches and wear may appear on the shiny surface of the bottle. Applying a ceramic coating will make the surface of the bottle look like new again.
